This website launched on Wednesday, December 21, 2005, as an extension of the printed Country Music Bulletin and is designed to provide a service and resource for the general public as well as the Australian country music industry.

The quarterly print publication was a dedicated industry or “trade” magazine specifically targetted only to the industry,” said Publisher Bob Kirchner. It ceased publication as a result of the GFC of 2007-2008 and the websiteb was expanded dramaticallt into a broader, dedicated Australian country music news website.

“There are a number of good sites that provide state or regional information and others that have been set up by fans or act as a general digest of media releases.

“countrymusicbulletin.com.au is a professionally written and compiled news site which has become the news reference of record for Australian country music,” Bob said.

“The website covers more general news of interest to fans as well as the industry with a number of dedicated special features such as album chart and a festival and event guide.

The website is compiled by Bob Kirchner, a long time media professional who was responsible for building the original Country Music Association of Australia website – country.com.au – and news service into one of the most popular sites in the Australian music business.
